Projects & Design

This is a listing of different projects or sites I have worked on.  These are nearly completed or completed projects I have worked exclusively on. I will leave the projects I have began and not finished out since there are quite a few.  I am typically up for new projects or aiding others but I work 40+ hours a week full time as a Senior Programmer at Townnews.com building their new Ad Serving platform, so my out of work project time is taxed. Still from time to time I may get a chance to throw some things I have put together up here.

Lethal By Default- Site Design I put this little design together based of a TShirt the band had and a MySpace picture I found on their website.  All the art was put together in Abobe Photoshop CS.

QC Next Level Fitness Website

Next Level Fitness in Moline, IL - Website Design This is the gym I regulary workout in.  It was bought by new owners and I was asked to put together a rather simple website.  I also had to write custom software to move export their old software to a new Helios system.  It is a simple wordpress design using the Hope them by Patrick.  Unfortunately, the PHP portion of the theme was broke for images so I had to first fix the themes regular expression before photos would load.  I posted the update code to the authors site but it does not look like he fixed in his release version.  The pictures I stole from the old site using the wayback machine...since the owners could never got them to me.
qcgeneral_thumb QCGeneral.com - Custom PHP Software This was a project I had been contracted to do through a company local to the QC Area called QC Total Tech.  I built the directory like system to allow easy company entries.  It also has a basic form of templating system I built on top of Smarty.  It was a complete system using PHP/MySQL and some javascript magic on the front-end. It caches data and has a complete administration side for doing transactions for contractor packages.  There is also a simple rating system built in.  Overall the project itself was time intensive taking me a 5 weeks to do and roughly 60 hours ...It was featured in the QCTimes the link to the article is here.
atdemployersolutions_thumb ATDEmployer Solutions - Website Design & Software This was a early project I did a few months after I received my degree.  I had previously been doing my sites and server processing using Microsoft Hosting so I did this site using VB Script and ASP.  I was still a very inexperienced developer and site designer but I did finish the project.  The business itself is owned by my good friends older brother.  I hope to contact him again sometime and update his site using my more experienced hands to provide better results.  It truly is amazing how we can look back at old code and have a hard time not laughing a little at how hard we made some of the simplest things.
